OVERVIEW OF THE ROLE

The safety suite team at Idelic is passionate about developing the end-to-end SaaS platform that our customers depend on for managing their drivers. This team collaborates with product management, customer success, and leadership to innovatively deliver new products, iterate on existing features, and tackle tech debt for customers. Those interested in this role require commitment to collaborative problem solving, sophisticated design, and high-quality work.

QA Engineers work closely with Engineering and Product as part of the Software Development Life Cycle to provide quality through test coverage of our in house software solution. In this role, you will design, build and execute test cases and suites to help improve the quality of all aspects of our software applications.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

• Develop and maintain test cases for our SaaS application and ETL pipelines
• Collaborate with product managers, engineers, and other QA team members to create test strategies for new product features
• Test new features and impacted modules during the sprint cycle  
• Run regression tests as part of weekly release preparation to ensure the quality of our deployments
• Enable and maintain a test automation suite and other tools that drive software quality
• Participate in the implementation of test tracking software
• Support and develop our technical culture by being engaged, intellectually curious, friendly, and motivated to solve complex problems
• Work on any task and help solve problems when needed

WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED

• 3-5 years of experience testing SaaS type applications
• Experience with Postman or similar tools to test API endpoints and mock calls
• Experience with data and SQL
• Experience estimating, prioritizing, planning and coordinating testing activities
• Experience identifying and thoroughly documenting bugs
• Analytical and problem solving skills 
• Proven ability to work in a collaborative and fast-paced environment
